Before your next networking event, use the following Networking Checklist before walking out the door:
- Visual appearance: teeth brushed, hair neatly styled, clothing neat and clean, face and hands clean.
- Business cards: bring at least 10 business cards along.
- Pen: just in case you need to write something down.
- Name tag: should be worn on on the right upper chest near the collarbone.
- Know your business: have a 1-2 minute description of your business memorized to share with new people you meet.
- Mental attitude: clean it up before you leave. Take a 10 minute meditation to relax from the day. Don’t go if you are really in a bad mood.
- Relax and have fun!
